The Georgia State Square Dancers Association (GSSDA) Board met Sunday, May 24, 2020. After much discussion, the GSSDA Board voted to cancel the 2020 Georgia State Convention and Thursday Trail End Dance. The decision to cancel was difficult, many factors were considered but most importantly the health and safety of our Dancers and Dance Leaders. If you have registered for the 2020 Georgia Convention, we will gladly replace your 2020 ribbon for a 2021 ribbon. However, if you desire a refund, please email or call Angie McClure 678-956-0287.

The GSSDA Board feels it is important to get our local clubs and federations back to dancing once the COVID-19 guidelines allows later this year. We have developed some items for consideration of club leaders and dancers when restarting your club activities. Please visit the GSSDA website at for details.

Thank you to our wonderful Dance Leaders and volunteers that help to make the Georgia State Convention successful each year. Please make plans to join us for our 50th Anniversary Georgia State Convention, September 17-18, 2021 in Gainesville Georgia. We look forward to seeing you in a square soon! The GSSDA Board
